Haida Forest Products Ltd. is an independent and privately owned company that has operated from the same location since 1951.
Our manufacturing operation is located on 5 acres of land in Burnaby, BC. We are strategically positioned 20 minutes from Vancouver International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver. This site contains offices, warehouses, dry kilns, manufacturing equipment and outside storage.
For 62 years the company has operated from the same location specializing in “Haida” brand Western Red Cedar sidings, panellings, outdoor wood, timbers and specialty products.
Haida Forest Products has made significant contribution to the development and demand for Western Red Cedar over the years. Haida was one of the first companies to kiln dry knotty GRADES of cedar siding over 50 years ago. We also developed and patented hot melt glue technology to permi-fuse knots in knotty grades of sidings and panellings. The company has continuously upgraded its equipment and facilities and today employs the latest in moulding technology.
Haida Forest Products produces more than 100 specialty and architectural products and patterns. We also produce decking, outdoor products and specialty timbers - as well as our flagship product Skirl wavy edge siding.
Haida is committed to producing the highest quality Western Red Cedar products. Critical to this mission are the people who work at Haida. Over 50% of our manufacturing crew have 25 years or more with the company. 60% of our salaried staff have over 30 years seniority.
